“3″ debuts ahead of The Billboard Hot 100 chart with a total of 254,640 digital copies sold and more than 24 million radio audience impressions.

“3″ also becomes Britney’s 3rd. #1 on the US songs chart and the first non-American Idol #1 debut since 1998. After 1998 only four acts were able to debut at #1 on the Hot 100 and all by musicians from the tv show American Idol: Taylor Hicks (July 1 2006), Carrie Underwood (July 2 2005), Fantasia (July 10 2004) and Clay Aiken (June 28 2003), all with lead singles from their debut record after winning the AI.

“3″ also opens the Hot 100 at #1 exactly one year after “Womanizer” hit the top spot on the chart week dated to October 25 in 2008, while “3″ chart week is dating to October 26.

“3″ has also #1 spot on The Billboard Digital Songs charts and has jumped #38-#25 on The Billboard Pop Songs charts. On The Billboard Radio Songs it opens at #49.

Britney Spears is determined to regain full custody of her children with former husband Kevin Federline, Sean Preston (4) and Jayden James (3). Recently, the pop princess has granted more than 50% of time with her sons while on tour.

Britney is considering filling legal documents to make her the primary guardian when her Circus Tour comes to an end in November.

According to Contact Music, Britney is hoping to regain full custody of her children and let Kevin Federline with visiting rights only, she says the bad behaviour of Kevin can be seen on the kids and she doesn’t want them to grow up thinking that this kind of behaviour is acceptable.

A source told Contact Music: “She is ready to fight to get her boys back. Britney feels that leaving Kevin in charge has turned her sons into cursing, ill-mannered little boys who don’t behave. Britney wants to be the one who chooses where the boys go to school and where they go to church.”

“She wants full custody and for Kevin to have visitation. Britney feels that Kevin is now the one with problems that the judge needs to hear about. She believes he’s become a poor role model for Sean and Jayden. The boys are used to Kevin’s foul-mouthed, lazy, unemployed dancer friends, who either live at the house or hang out there. Britney doesn’t want the boys growing up thinking that kind of lifestyle is acceptable.”

Britney Spears’ new single “3? — the sole fresh song off her upcoming best-of compilation The Singles Collection — debuted this morning on New York Top 40 station Z100, and yes, in the spirit of Jane’s Addiction’s “Three Days,” the song is about having a threesome. Spears has never been shy about courting controversy, and this song will likely receive plenty of it. “3? is yet another product of producer Max Martin, the Swedish pop savant who also gave the world Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl” and Spears’ “If U Seek Amy,” so a track about ménage à trois would be the feasible next step in his repertoire.

The music itself seems to borrow from the Flo Rida playbook, as “3? is more of a surefire dance-floor stomper than anything Brit loaded onto Blackout or Circus. “Merrier the more, triple fun that way,” Spears sings in one of the many, many innuendo-packed lyrics that seem like they were spawned from Prince’s Dirty Mind-era brain. We’re happy Britney Spears is getting so much quality time with her sons, but she may want to scale back the Sesame Street marathons. And not just because her new, slightly phoned-in single, “3,” could very well have been brought to us by the letters W, T and F.

The only new track to appear on her forthcoming compilation, The Singles Collection, the fun-with-numbers song—which debuted this morning on New York’s Z100—features such thought-provoking lyrics as “everybody loves counting,” “come out and play,” and, oh yes, the ad nauseam repetition of “1, 2, 3.”

Of course, the ménage à trois-promoting (and, oddly enough, Peter, Paul and Mary-referencing) tune isn’t for the Big Bird set. Unless they too think that “living in sin is the new thing.”

And it being a Britney track, we’re well aware it’s also not for the lyric-dissecting set. It’s for the dance-floor set. And, since it happens to have been produced by Max Martin, the same guy responsible for Spears’ career-launching “…Baby One More Time,” we’d say it has a pretty good shot at becoming a hit.

It’s the emotionless striptease as pop song, complete with studio-perfected sexual moans, that may or may not stand in for an R-rated word, and a clever digital down-tune into an eager, count-along chorus. The cut’s biggest oddity is the lyrics that reference folk trio Peter, Paul and Mary, as if they were some sort of acoustic ménage à trois.[...]

While we keep on waiting until 7 AM (ET) on 09/29 to the release of “3″ on Z100 New York, Digital Spy teases us with a review of the song that matches the leaked lyrics that will be following right after the review below:

1. It’s called ’3′ and it’s a Max Martin production.

2. We won’t beat around the bush – it’s about having a threesome.

3. The chorus, which has more than a hint of the playground chant about it, goes like this: “1-2-3 not only you and me / Got 180 degrees / And I’m caught in between / Counting 1-2-3 feed upon that three / Getting down with repeat / Everybody loves ohhhhh”. The “ohhhhh”, in case you were wondering, is a classic Britney lusty sigh.

4. Britney makes her intentions very clear elsewhere, telling us “living in sin is the new thing” on the bridge and offering this coaxing couplet on the second verse: “Three is a charm, two’s not the same / “I don’t see the harm, so are you game?”

5. Enough already with the lyrics! What does ’3′ sound like? Well, it’s uptempo, quite electropoppy on the verses and a little bit ravey on the choruses.

6. ’3′ would fit better on Circus than Blackout – it’s got that slightly cartoony quality that the more recent album sometimes has. The Britney track to which it’s most closely related is probably ‘If U Seek Amy’, though they’re more like second cousins who only see each other at family funerals and weddings than brother and sister.

7. The best bit of the song is the middle 8, on which Max Martin cools things down with some synthetic strings, a load of bassy beats kick in and Britters offers her boyfriend a get-out clause: “If you don’t like the company / Let’s do it just you and me…”

8. …Before promptly changing her mind by suggesting “or three… or four on the floor”. That last bit’s pretty clever, because the beats she’s singing over at the time could legitimately be classified as “four-on-the-floor”.

9. It took us a few plays to fall for ’3′ – and truth be told it’s no ‘Gimme More’ or ‘Womanizer’ – but as a fun, fruity newbie to round off a potentially brilliant Singles Collection, it does its job very well indeed.

10. It’s premiering on US radio today, so expect to be hearing it very soon. The first UK play, in case you were wondering, will be on Radio 1 this Wednesday afternoon.

Britney Spears is probably going to keep on sharing her children custody at 50/50 with former husband Kevin Federline for the duration of 2009.

According to TMZ.com, A Los Angeles Superior Court judge decided to extend the order that was initially put in place for Britney’s Circus Tour. Under the terms, Britney gets to travel with her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James and must provide Kevin a place to stay in case he wants to follow them on tour (what he did, Who wouldn’t want to travel Europe and US for free??).

Sources told TMZ that the order is very detailed but the pop princess gets minimum of 50/50 custody and sometimes even more. As for Kevin, Britney must send him $20,000 monthly for “child support” and something between $20,000 ~ $25,000 in additional monthly when the kids are outside of California.

A judge will reevaluate the order by the end of the year.

Rumors are popping out, and no word comes from JIVE about the possible singles collection.

Sites like Billboard, Amazon, MTV and Hits Daily Double have confirmed the collection as Britney’s upcoming release, Hits Daily Double listed it as set to be released on November 17th.

The fansite GimmeBritney(.com), the first to announce the the collection, comes with breaking new about the upcoming singles box. A new single is in the oven, and it’s expected to hit australian radios on November 21.

According to their source, There will be a double-disc cd including songs from Britney’s 10-year career with at least 4 totally new songs and a multi-box cd is also set to be released as special edition with every Britney single release in a “treasure chest” styled box.

Hits Daily Double has added Britney’s singles collection to the upcoming releases in the US market for the year-end.

According to the press release of the site, The Singles Collection, name that was never confirmed by any source related to the pop princess, will hit the American stores on November 17.  The same day will have other releases by Leona Lewis and Norah Jones.

According to a report, rumouredly by Sony/BMG Australia, there will be a multi cd box (probably including all the cd singles) expected to be priced $114.95 AUD (aprox. $96 USD) and a 2-cd version to be priced $29.95 AUD (aprox. $25 USD). The album is rumouredly going to be released in Australia on November 13th 2009.

The rumors of the singles collection are getting stronger by the day, media sources like Amazon and MTV have already set pages for the album.

JIVE Records haven’t confirmed the collection.

According to FOX News, Britney Spears is still madly in love with her ex boyfriend paparazzo Adnan Ghalib, with who she dated early 2008.

The paparazzo, after splitting with Britney got involved in many problems in court including assaults, hit-and-run and he is also accused of trying to run with his car over a court official who was trying to serve him a restraining order.

In July 2009, Britney Spears conservator, her father, Jamie Spears, requested court a restraining order against the paparazzo and his request was approved, prohibiting Ghalib from going within 100 yards of Britney and banned from all types of communication with her.

“It is really breaking Britney’s heart[...]She is still totally in love with Adnan and she can’t even speak too him, it’s making her really depressed.” – a source told FOX News.

FOX News source also confirmed that Britney’s is really dating with tv agent Jason Trawick, although her father seems to be the one most interested in the relationship: “Jamie (Spears) is really, really pushing the relationship with Jason, he thinks he’s a really good influence on Britney[...]the last thing he wants is Britney going back to Adnan. She would if she could.” – the source told.

Another rumor for today…

Britney Spears is reportedly going to release a new fragrance in September. It’s reportedly to be titled ‘Circus Fantasy’.

The ‘breaking news’, if we can it as, was delivered by Extra TV! website reportedly accidentally after announcing a contest for Britney fans, which they would win tickets to Britney playing the ‘Circus Tour’ in New York.

According to the press release the fragrance will hit the stores in September this year at Macy’s, Kohl’s and Dillard’s in the U.S.A.

The 2009 Teen Choice Awards will be hosted by The Jonas Brothers and apparently it won’t broadcasted live. The commercial announces the dat as next Monday (August 10).
