Britney Spears appears at #6 after taking home $58 million for the period June 2011-May 2011. The list is compiled not according to how much the celebrity has been paid but according to their influence, the formula takes earnings (obviously), press exposure, tv/radio exposure, social media power and web.

Between female singers, Britney Spears is #1 if only earnings were counted. She’s followed by Taylor Swift ($57 million) and Rihanna ($53 million).

Forbes Magazine is an influential economy publication and the Celebrity 100 has been published annually since the late 90s. Britney Spears topped the list in 2002.

After months of eight-figure negotiations, Britney Spears has finally signed her contract to join Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid as a judge on The X Factor.

Spears finally inked her deal this week, E! News has exclusively confirmed. As we previously reported, Spears will get $15 million for one season’s worth of work. She had agreed in principle to the deal weeks ago and had spent the last several days working out the fine print.

“The contract is signed,” reveals source close to the star. “There’s been a lot of back and forth over the past few weeks as they negotiated the small details, but she’s on. It’s all completed and Britney is beyond excited.”

Britney Spears’ fiance Jason Trawick is officially the singer’s newest conservator — the judge in her conservatorship case just signed off on giving him legal power to govern Britney’s affairs.

TMZ broke the story … Britney’s dad and conservator Jamie Spears filed the petition earlier this month, asking the court to add Jason as a co-conservator. We’re told Britney also wanted Jason on board as co-conservator.

After the hearing, we overhead the lawyers say Jamie is “thrilled.”

The move makes total sense … considering the two are set to be married.

As co-conservator, Jason is now empowered to help decide how Britney will earn and spend her money — including the $15 million deal she’s about to sign with “X Factor.”

Britney Spears and “X Factor” have struck a deal that will line the singer’s pocket to the tune of $15 million for next season … TMZ has learned.

We’re told Britney’s team and “X Factor” big wigs are working out “the fine points” of the deal, but the major terms are locked.

Once the final contract is drafted and signed … it will go to Jamie Spears, Britney’s daddy and conservator, as well as lawyers for the conservatorship. If they sign off, it must then go to the judge who oversees the conservatorship for approval.

Sources connected with the deal tell us … it’s a “virtual certainty” everyone will sign off. By the way, we’re told Jason Trawick is “very involved” in the negotiations.

Simon Cowell, the “X Factor” Executive Producer, told us on TMZ Live Tuesday, “I would love to have her on the show. I think she would be a fascinating person to sit next to.” Simon said they may make an announcement within a week.

Britney would fill one of two vacant seats on the judging panel. She’s also way more expensive than the castoffs — Nicole Scherzinger reportedly pulled in $1.5 million, while Paula Abdul raked in $2.5 mil.

AccessHollywood: Simon Cowell has yet to say who might fill the two vacant judges’ chairs on “The X Factor,” but he’s revealed that both Britney Spears and Janet Jackson would make good choices.

The British TV mogul called into “The Billy Bush Show,” where he spoke “hypothetically” about the possibility of the two pop stars joining the show.

“I’m fascinated by [Britney.] The fact that she’s one of the most talked about – not just pop stars – but people in the world today, means that you’ve got this star power,” Simon told Billy Bush when asked about the rumors of Britney joining the show – stressing that he could neither confirm nor deny who he and the show’s producers have spoken with.

“This girl has got resilience,” he said of the pop princess. “I would think that if she’s managed to sustain a family, a career, which is tough, [‘X Factor’ would be] a walk in the park.”

Billy pointed out that Britney has not had the free forum that “The X Factor” would provide her in many years.

“I would be fascinated to hear what she had to say,” he explained. “She’s still hot, she’s still having hit records and she’s still controversial, there’s a reason for that.”

Simon also spoke briefly about the possibility of Janet becoming a judge, saying, “Would she be a good judge? Yes.”

The biting Brit explained to Billy that the upcoming season of his reality completion series would be different than the first.

“We’re making a new show this year,” he continued. “We have to put much more emphasis on the contestants this year.”

We know damn well that social campaigns can have a massive impact in popular culture. Pop Princess Britney Spears seems to be taking advantage of that as she incited a Twitter campaign to get her as a guest appearance on popular TV sitcom “Modern Family”.

Spears said “innocently” that she was not looking forward to the Superbowl, where her personal friend Madonna would be performing, to be watching “Modern Family”. The tweet was trigger to multiple rumors in celebrity blogs about a possible guest appearance of the pop singer in the show.

This would not be the first time Spears adventured in acting roles. She played a country girl in Crossroads, a movie released in 2002 which had a casino-themed scene where the actors would be playing at US casino. Following this movie role, the singer had a part in Austin Power: The Golden Member.

She is not new to TV. Britney has been featured as a special guest in several TV shows: “How I Met Your Mother”, “Will & Grace” and “Glee”. In all of which, the singer’s appearance broke the series record for their highest audience. During the “Glee” episode, the singer’s long-time mega-hit “Toxic” re-charted on iTunes.

Spears also has some recognition for her TV work. She was pre-nominated for an Emmy Award for her guest appearance in “How I Met Your Mother”, and her TV special for HBO, “Britney: Live in Las Vegas”, in 2001 has won a technical Emmy.

The Twitter campaign for Spears on Modern Family was joined by one of the show’s stars, Sofia Vergara asked her Twitter followers if they would like to see Britney Spears having a cameo on the show.

Nothing has been, however, concretized but we still hope to see The Queen of Pop gracing yet another TV show, and breaking yet another audience record.

Madonna is famous for going in on celebrities. The so called Queen of Pop talked during an interview about Pop Princess Britney Spears comparing her to Electronic Pop Dance current trend Lady Gaga.

Keeping it simple, the Material Girl compared Britney Spears and Lady Gaga in the beauty departments only to come to the conclusion that the Toxic singer is almost flaw free while Lady Gaga is full of imperfections.

Madonna’s statement only came to add more fuel to the media feud between her and Lady Gaga. Recently, the Queen of Pop called Gaga’s work on “Born This Way” reductive as it resembles Madge’s own past work “Express Yourself”.

Madonna, however, praised the way Gaga connects with the gay community. She said she thinks Gaga association with the gay community seems genuine saying she’s connected to them because she’s imperfect and feels unconventional.

That is really how Gaga garnered her gay following support, by being unconventional, whilst Britney Spears connected with them by being flawless. To end the sentence, Madonna simply said “She’s not Britney Spears” on Lady Gaga.

The relationship between Britney Spears and Madonna has always received excessive media attention. The two prove, over and over, to have a lasting friendship relation. Madonna has talked Britney several times while Britney herself has cited Madge as one of her main influences.

The connection between the two was highlighted during the kiss they shared at the stage of The MTV Music Awards in 2003, they later joined forces in a song together (“Me Against The Music”) and have taken parts in the tour of each.

In 2007, for example, Britney Spears made a stage appearance at Madonna’s “Sticky and Sweet Tour”. Backstage footage showed the two singers hanging out previous to the show at American poker rooms and they seemed really happy.

The second episode of Glee’s season two, “Brittany/Britney”, that paid homage to Britney Spears aired yesterday (September 28) on FOX Channel.

- Early reports for ratings show that the episode gave FOX it’s highest-rated Fall comedy telecast in eight years among Adults (18-49), that is the public that “interests” FOX, on this point the show put FOX as the leading tv network on American television yesterday. The record in adults viewers makes the episode the most profitable in the history of Glee on the advertisements perspective.

- On viewers, “Brittany/Britney” had a total of 13.33 million viewers, second only to the fourteenth episode of Season one.

According to the blog Beauty Booty, Britney Spears is releasing a new fragrance, set to hit the stores this September.

The fragrance is titled “Radiance” (check the bottle picture above) and it’s light musk scent is described by wild berries and soft, dewy petals also bursting with tuberose, jasmine, orange flower and iris making an “unforgettable and utterly irresistible scent.”

The first stores receiving the fragrance are The Bay, Sears and Pharmaprix/Shopper’s Drug Mart and the first packages: $63 for 50 mL; $78 for 100 mL.

No official word from Britney, her team/management or Elizabeth Arden (Britney perfumes engineer/manager) on the new fragrance.

Candie’s website (candies.com) started a countdown to the premiere of Britney Spears exclusive designed clothes for the brand, as you can see below. The image they used for it can be seen above.

Britney Spears made an appearance at Phil Maloof’s birthday party at Drai’s Hollywood nightclub in Los Angeles on Saturday (May 15 2010).

Rolling Stone magazine website wrote a review about the leaked demo of Britney “Telephone”:

Ever since Britney Spears’ demo version of Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” leaked this week, fans have been buzzing. Producer Rodney Jerkins quickly confirmed that it really was Britney singing, but any seasoned Britneyologist could already identify it by ear within a couple of bars — nobody else pronounces the consonant “r” or the long vowel “e” like our girl. It has all the distinctive vocal tics of Britney, or at least the laptop that does her singing. At this point, I’ve come to love Britney’s demo even more than Gaga’s already-brilliant hit version. Even though it’s a more bare-bones production, it amps up all the seething rage in the song, stripping it down to the killer combo of a plucked harp and a jaded party girl strung out on Auto-Tune and paranoia.

“Telephone” actually sounds a lot like Britney’s 2007 hit “Piece of Me,” proving yet again how much impact Britney has had on the sonics of current pop. People love to make fun of Britney, and why not, but if “Telephone” proves anything, it’s that Blackout may be the most influential pop album of the past five years. The demo is lighter than Gaga’s production, cutting out all the rock bombast, but that just makes the song more linear and urgent. It reduces “Telephone” to a drum machine, that harp, a magic box of vocal effects, and the concept that a girl’s soul and a magic box of vocal effects can sometimes be the exact same thing.

Britney uses Auto-Tune the way Bob Dylan used his harmonica — for punctuation, for atmosphere, for an alienatingly weird sound effect. It’s a blast of vocal distortion, harsh on the surface, but expressive, capable of sounding wildly funny or abrasively pissed-off or seductive. In “Telephone,” as in “Piece of Me,” the Auto-Tune does for her voice what the harmonica does for Dylan’s in “It Ain’t Me, Babe” — a way of telling the world to keep its hands off you. Britney is talking to her phone, talking to the boy who keeps calling, talking herself out of compulsively checking her phone. The way her voice fades in and out of Auto-Tune — mostly in — is totally brilliant. Like Bob Dylan (and I swear this is the last time I’ll mention his name right now, despite the millions of things he and Brit have in common) Britney loves to cross-fade between a human voice (hey world, take a look at me, I’m a star, I’m somebody, pay attention) and a machine voice (hey world, fuck off, you can’t reach me, I don’t believe you, you’re a liar).

The point isn’t whether Britney is punching the buttons herself. (When is that ever the point with a pop star?) It’s the romance going on between the voice and the machine. Part of what makes Britney the perfectest of perfect pop stars is the way she expresses her personality most passionately when she’s turning herself into a machine — surrendering to the beat, disappearing into the thrill of the pop moment, singing like a robot. That’s what makes her sound so human after all. In “Telephone,” she doesn’t want to think any more, talk any more, feel any more — she just wants to hit the floor and dance to the rhythm machines until she turns into a machine herself.

Nothing could express the Britney cosmology like a phone song, since phone songs are usually a place where singers distort their vocals to sound like they’re on the line — my favorite might be ELO’s “Telephone Line,” Kraftwerk’s “The Telephone Call,” or maybe Missy Elliott, Timbaland and Nicole Wray’s “Make It Hot.” But it’s ideal for Britney — especially when the phone song doubles as an “I’m out on the club jumping on strange boys” anthem. She’s kind of biz-zaaay. She’s kind of biz-zaaay. You can’t hurt her, can’t even touch her, because she’s kind of biz-zaaay. Call all you want but she’s not at home, and you’re not gonna reach her telephone.

I’m definitely not disparaging Gaga’s version — I couldn’t live without it, especially not her Beyoncé video epic. But “Telephone” has so much Britney in it, it’s no big surprise to learn that Gaga may have written the song for her. Since Britney is the perfect pop star, and songs about telephones are always excellent, it’s a just plain mathematical fact that Britney’s “Telephone” is a perfect pop song, and the world is an infinitely better place because it exists.

Bizarro note: despite all the advances in phone technology over the past 25 years, both versions of “Telephone” end with the same recorded message from the Replacements’ 1984 punk rock classic “Answering Machine.” That Britney — she is so punk.

Candie’s marketing chief Dari Marder revealed on her Twitter (@darimarder) that Britney Spears is shooting a new commercial for Candie’s next Monday (May 10), this time the commercial is for the limited collection Britney designed for the brand. The director of the commercial (confirmed by Marder) is Chris Applebaum, he has previously worked with Britney on her music videos for “Overprotected (DarkChild Remix)” and “I Love Rock ‘N’ Roll”, Check below what Marder wrote on her Twitter:

Britney Spears was having a photoshoot for Candie’s with photographer Cliff Watts today, but the singer updated on her Twitter big news (if you can consider it like that), She was shooting with clothes she designed herself for the brand:

Dani Marder, from Candie’s chief marketing center, confirmed the shoot and clothing line is for the summer 2010 campaign, coming out in July.

Britney Spears is no longer dating her agent Jason Trawick, E! News reported yesterday.

The pop princess and her agent broke up after an year of relationship as they were not getting along well: “They were fighting a lot and have not been getting along,” — a source told them. Trawick is, however, still representing Britney as her agent as William Morris Endeavor Entertainment (her agency) told E! No rep from Spears’ management confirmed it though.

E! reports that Spears broke up with him in February. The last time they were seen together was on Valetine’s Day at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Los Angeles.

“They both just needed to take a break from each other,” the source says. “It wasn’t working out.”

It’s not the first time Britney gets emotionally involved with someone working for her, Kevin Federline was her backup dancer when she proposed to him (while on “The Onyx Hotel Tour” in 2004) and he accepted. Reports claim that Spears also proposed Trawick during the “Circus Tour” in 2009 and he said no, the relationship however, kept going.

The source says Britney and Trawick might still reconcile.

Britney Spears appearance today (March 16) at The Los Angeles Superior Court has been delayed as both parties (Spears and the Court) need more time before getting together once again, TMZ reports.

Britney was supposed to appear at 1:30 PM for Judge Reva Goetz to discuss the progress she made while under her father’s conservatorship active since early 2008. Britney’s father and conservator Jamie Spears together with the conservation team expect the conservatorship order to be definitely canceled until by mid 2010.

Goetz still wants to sit down with Britney but the meeting wasn’t re-scheduled.

Britney Spears asked permission on court on Friday (January 22 2010) if she could make an auction for the dress she wore at The 2008 MTV Video Music Awards for Haiti relief.

“Britney is very enthusiastic about making a donation to the cause,” Radar Online quoted the Britney’s attorney Sam Ingham as saying.

Spears’ lawyers also requested if other personal objects Britney no longer uses could be donated to auction as well.

On the hearing held this Friday, her father Jamie Spears remained as her conservator, being the person responsible for Britney’s finances and legal affairs as well as for the singer herself.
