Popstar Britney Spears is confirmed to be attended the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, but, unfourtunately, the popstar won’t be performing. “Britney is so excited to attend the VMA show, but as of now there will be no performance,” says an insider to BreatheHeavy fansite. “Right now Britney is focusing on her kids and recording.”

The source continued to say that Britney appreciates all that her fans have done to assist in the nominations, and hopes to win her first Moon Man this year.

Britney, please at least go on to the red carpet baby!
