Britney Spears performing “If U Seek Amy” at the Sacramento show (June 16th 2011)
Britney Spears kicked off her latest tour, “Femme Fatale” in Sacramento, California 4 days ago (on June 16th) to receive the most positive reviews she has ever gotten for her tours.
Britney danced and sung to some of her biggest hits, like “Toxic” and “…Baby One More Time” and 9 songs off her latest effort, which titles the tour.
Spears energy and live vocals garned her praise after all the backlash she received from her performances at The 2011 Billboard Music Awards.
So far the “Femme Fatale Tour”, which has Nicki Minaj as opening act in the United States, has 56 scheduled shows: 35 in the U.S.A. and Canada and 21 in Europe.
On a note about the show, RollingStone.com commented: “The night belonged to Britney: She managed to prove that she’s still progressing as a showgirl. Not only that, she’s doing it better than even die-hard defenders would’ve predicted.” While MTV described it as “her flashiest tour yet.”
