iTunes is the main preview to the Billboard Hot Digital Songs chart, the song that ranks #1 on iTunes during a week is usually the best-selling song of the week, and the digital sales are one of the MAIN things to chart HIGH on the Hot 100!
Last year’s, “Womanizer” stormed to #1 on The Billboard Hot 100 due to the 286,000 copies it sold on it’s first digital week!
