Britney Spears came with the most racy lyrics of her whole career, in “3″, the pop princess talks about a 3-some, and the media kinda loved it, or just bashed, check some review from “3″:
Britney Spears is making the most of her sex symbol status, again.[...]
Produced by swedish hitmaker Max Martin, “3″ finds Spears singing about the racy subject of a ménage a trios with her signature coy delivery. “Three is a charm, two is not the same,” Spears coos seductively on the verse. “I don’t see the harm, so are you game?” [...]

Britney Spears’ new single “3? — the sole fresh song off her upcoming best-of compilation The Singles Collection — debuted this morning on New York Top 40 station Z100, and yes, in the spirit of Jane’s Addiction’s “Three Days,” the song is about having a threesome. Spears has never been shy about courting controversy, and this song will likely receive plenty of it. “3? is yet another product of producer Max Martin, the Swedish pop savant who also gave the world Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl” and Spears’ “If U Seek Amy,” so a track about ménage à trois would be the feasible next step in his repertoire.
The music itself seems to borrow from the Flo Rida playbook, as “3? is more of a surefire dance-floor stomper than anything Brit loaded onto Blackout or Circus. “Merrier the more, triple fun that way,” Spears sings in one of the many, many innuendo-packed lyrics that seem like they were spawned from Prince’s Dirty Mind-era brain. There’s also “Three is a charm, two is not the same. I don’t see the harm, so are you game?” and “If you don’t like the company, let’s just do it you and me. You and me… Or three… Or four…” The song also boasts the strangest Peter, Paul and Mary reference we’ve ever heard. [...]

[...]The track was produced by hit-maker and longtime Spears collaborator Max Martin, who also produced “… Baby One More Time,” and its subject matter — which appears to be about loving multiple people at one time — is sure to cause a stir. Of course, Spears has been causing that kind of stir since she dressed in a sexy school-girl uniform for the “… Baby One More Time” video.
The song, which is posted on New York radio station Z-100′s Web site, is a catchy dance track with provocative lyrics, such as, “1, 2, 3/ Not only you and me/ Got 180 degrees/ And I’m caught in between.”[...]

We’re happy Britney Spears is getting so much quality time with her sons, but she may want to scale back the Sesame Street marathons. And not just because her new, slightly phoned-in single, “3,” could very well have been brought to us by the letters W, T and F.
The only new track to appear on her forthcoming compilation, The Singles Collection, the fun-with-numbers song—which debuted this morning on New York’s Z100—features such thought-provoking lyrics as “everybody loves counting,” “come out and play,” and, oh yes, the ad nauseam repetition of “1, 2, 3.”
Of course, the ménage à trois-promoting (and, oddly enough, Peter, Paul and Mary-referencing) tune isn’t for the Big Bird set. Unless they too think that “living in sin is the new thing.”
And it being a Britney track, we’re well aware it’s also not for the lyric-dissecting set. It’s for the dance-floor set. And, since it happens to have been produced by Max Martin, the same guy responsible for Spears’ career-launching “…Baby One More Time,” we’d say it has a pretty good shot at becoming a hit.

[...]And the message? The song stays close to the Spears playbook of sex and more sex, deflecting all attention away from her myriad controversies to put the focus squarely on the come-on. “Living in sin is the new thing,” Spears coos in the lyrics, but the topic is old news for her.
The song is slick, but it’s cold, and therefore in line with Spears’ recent trek around the globe[...]
Yet there was little attachment to the song, zero interaction with the audience, and skin stood in for emotion — or even talent. Like “Blackout” and “Circus,” “3″ is a study in production; give Spears’ team credit for elevating the song above typical dance products.
Her vocals stick close to snyths, and as the song builds, it becomes near impossible to tell the two apart. In a gambit that’s worked for Spears before, she sounds sweetly generic. “What we do is innocent / Just for fun,” she sings, even if she means anything but in what is a rather angelic-sounding bridge.
It’s the emotionless striptease as pop song, complete with studio-perfected sexual moans, that may or may not stand in for an R-rated word, and a clever digital down-tune into an eager, count-along chorus. The cut’s biggest oddity is the lyrics that reference folk trio Peter, Paul and Mary, as if they were some sort of acoustic ménage à trois.[...]

Britney Spears’ 3 lyrics have been released today. For those of you who have seen them, what do you think about the Britney Spears’ 3 lyrics?
Like many of her songs, they don’t sound very deep or meaningful. However, Britney Spears is a pop sensation that is unparalleled by her peers.
[...]They sound kind of racy to me – definitely not something I would want my 13 year old daughter belting out at the top of her lungs.
Of course, Britney Spears has been controversial since her lyrics and dance routines have gotten more and more racy. In the beginning, Britney Spears was a simple, Louisiana beauty singing feel-good songs. Now, she’s an international sex symbol plagued with a past that includes controversial breakdowns and plenty of drama[...]
