Britney Spears is ready to Give More to MTV.

Despite the disastrous Gimme More performance last year, The popstar will kick off the show once again.

But…She’s not performing, According to the president of The MTV Networks Music Group, Van Toffler, Britney will be doing something “fun and unexpected” on Sunday’s VMA Ceremony.

And…the best, Britney Spears, herself, confirmed her appearance in a statement : “MTV has long played an important role in my career. How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMAs? I’m excited to open the entire show, to say hi to my fans and to be nominated,”

The MTV Networks president also said: “I think for Britney, people are rooting for her, and she’s really on the road to recovery[...]It feels like it’s her year[...]It’s our 25th anniversary of the VMAs, and she’s been such a critical piece of MTV’s history.”

Spears has also been responsible for the ratings of the VMAs, Last year the ratings were 23% higher than in 2006 (year she didn’t appear) and her performance in 2003 made VMA’s highest rating ever.Britney performance in 2001 also gave VMAs some boost.

Britney is nominated for Video Of The Year, Best Female Video and Best Pop Video all for ‘Piece Of Me’, let’s hope she’ll get a moonman home!
